Holidays is over

Today is the last winter festive day. Members of the Orthodox Church who are prevalent Christian adepts here in Kazakhstan had observed the Christmas two days ago. Аnd all the Kazakh citizens enjoyed three additional days off. Tomorrow, on Sunday, begins a brand new working week. The people have now to escape from relaxation conditions and return to their working schedules. Holidays run is over (though everyone also will unofficially celebrate so-called Old New year on January 13), as it is actually a time to having the ordinary routine.

My blogs

This is not my only blog using a Google account. Few days ago, on the January 1 I created another project. That one is in Russian and dedicated to cinema. I named it Кино в себе. It means cinema-in-itself, by analogy with Kant's philosophical term Ding an sich. Writing about movies was my old wish and I have custody my first writing attempts since 1999 (not in Internet nevertheless but on the paper) in my own archives. I will describe in what follows the things in my movie blog.

Happy New Year

The new year, 2010 A.D. came at last. Last but not least. A starting decade of XXI Century and III Millennium is over. Or, it is over the good part of the decade - very strange, complicated, tough, cruel, pulsating and desintegrating years there were. Altough, last decade had some moments of real pleasure. The pleasure like enjoying whiskey with my old friend Schumacher as we got in this festive night. I don't love noisy and crowdy parties, prefering the sort of warm calmness and sweet melancholy of a communication. So we had some drink and tasty food and heart-to-heart talking in my house to celebrate New year quietly. It was such a wonderful thing.

Couple of words about present writer

It is time for some introducing. I am Bergmarque as I have taken this nickname to represent myself in the Web sources few years ago. Perhaps I'll detail this name later. I am 31 years old and I live in Kazakhstan. I am not married and have no children yet.

I live with my parents and sister in our own mansion. My current occupation chiefly is a journalism - I am a columnist writing publications for some periodical which I intend describing thoroughly in my next posts. I make my contributions home before sending them to editorial office. The theme of those is a football. The European football, to be exact. I observe all of most popular domestic leagues and consider this job quite interesting, although at the time my income as a freelancer is far from a sort of good revenue. But I think it's a temporary situation and I'll find more acceptable working combination of pleasure and profitability. And I would write about that in this here blog.

Ab ovo

This is it. My first post in my first ever blog I just created. I must reveal at once that the main goal of this project (though not the only goal of it) is improvement of my English language skills. Yes, there are huge number of people studying English in the world, and I'm one of them. And trying to learn the language via reading and listening (unfortunately, my talking practice is very very poor now, but I hope this problem will be solved next year), I decided to add some writing efforts to make a complete effect on this process. I really think that Internet blog is a very suitable form in this case, and I want to thank Google for the oppotunity I have.
So if anybody reads me I beg my pardon for my grotesque English. Oh yes, of course I wish a Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates this feast. Well, I'll tell you about myself in my next post, and now it's time to finish this opening attempt. It was quite successful as a beginning, I believe. Beginning is an important thing.
